Blazar gamma-ray observations imply magnetic fields of at least 10⁻¹⁶ Gauss filling the voids on megaparsec scales (Neronov and Vovk 2010), where no dynamo operates and no outflow reaches. Standard inflation makes no magnetic fields, post-inflation mechanisms fall orders of magnitude short or produce wrong coherence lengths, and the universe's largest magnetic infrastructure is left with no origin in the standard accounting.
The model starts its electromagnetic ledger at zero: a singular origin followed by conformally invariant inflation hands structure formation an unmagnetized universe, leaving every field to be grown locally by dynamos that need seeds the model cannot provide and cannot transport into voids.
SCT never zeroes the ledger: the matter in our patch existed before the collision as the content of parent pockets, carrying compositions, density profiles, angular momenta, and magnetic field configurations inherited from prior collision generations (P25, the inheritance stated verbatim in the premise). The collision thermalized the overlap volume but conserved its flux: magnetohydrodynamics freezes fields into plasma, so the post-collision universe begins magnetized everywhere, voids included, at levels set by the parent inventory rather than by anything the new patch must generate. The void fields are heirlooms, and their megaparsec coherence reflects the large-scale ordering of the parent material (P28 supplies the eternal recycling that built the inventory across generations).
The deposition geometry layers the observed contrast on top: collision streams compressed matter and flux into filaments, amplifying fields where structure formed (P33, P34), while the inter-stream voids retain the diluted inherited baseline, exactly the configuration the blazar bounds detect: weak, pervasive, ordered void fields beneath strong structured ones. Magnetogenesis stops being a missing chapter because there was never a zero to grow from.
This is the same inheritance physics behind the pre-enriched chemistry and the deep compact-object ledgers. There is no need to invoke tuned inflaton-photon couplings invented to break conformal invariance.
The registered kill: a robust demonstration that void fields are zero, CTA finding the GeV pair halos at full strength, with the earlier bounds dissolved into time-delay systematics, would remove the inherited baseline SCT requires the voids to carry. In the other direction, void fields measured with coherence and helicity properties uniquely matching a specific post-inflation generation mechanism, inconsistent with frozen-in inherited flux diluted by expansion, would break the heirloom reading.
